Has anyone really figured out the limits of what it can and can't do in CwB overall, apart from all the more basic functions?

and then at Sonar x1/x2 it started to lose a bit of functionality.ĭoes anyone know how to get the surround panning and T-bar functionality working in Cakewalk Bandlab? From what I can tell the greatest/smoothest/seamless integration only really happened at producer 8.5.

But I am personally giving CwB another go to see if I can make it work.įor instance, I want to be able to use the video mixing and surround sound capabilities. It seems there has been a decline in some of the advanced features since then. There were some functions lost with Sonar x1 and x2 from what I've read, so I went back to Producer 8.5, as that was when Roland had everything fully tuned to work seamlessly with Sonar.

Is anyone using the vs700 with bandlab with actual full functionality with all it's features and no bugs? I thought it would be good to have a thread where we can discuss VS700 integration/functionality in more detail with Cakewalk Bandlab, ask questions and problem solve, and at least know what others are experiencing. I want to be using all it's features! But I have to go back in time to do so. It's such a shame because the VS700c is such an amazing controller.

If Bandlab are able to sort out a new driver that enables a fully functional vs700 with Cakewalk/Bandlab, with all of it's original features, they will certainly have a very loyal customer in me- but not until then. The fact that Cakewalk changed hands is no excuse IMO. It's enough to make me want to dump Roland after years of being a loyal customer. It's like selling a car that no longer drives due to a minor software issue. To sell a premium studio product with a high price tag, and then just dump everyone who bought the gear is shameful. I've read so many past threads and spent days and days trying to solve this.Īnd just for my own two cents worth- Roland should look after their customers better. Am I missing something here? Is anyone running Cakewalk Bandlab on Windows 10 with FULL VS700 functionality with all it's features? Or are people running earlier versions of Sonar in Windows 10?įor seamless integration and functionality I've had to go all the way back to Sonar/Cakewalk Producer 8.5 on Windows 8.1.Īny help would be greatly appreciated. Then now there is the driver hack, that doesn't properly work for me at all (yet), but seems to be working fine for some others, but not all. and then at Sonar x1/x2 it started to lose a bit of functionality. It seems there has been a decline in some of the advanced features since then.įor instance, I want to be able to use the video mixing and surround sound capabilities, and make use of a lot of the original features when the vs700 came out. Is anyone using the vs700 with bandlab with actually full functionality with all it's features and no bugs? As in not just the faders, but everything? I went back to windows 8.1, and back to Sonar, and it works perfectly, with full functionality. they showed up in the preferences, but did not work with the vs700c for me, then there were some added bugs/popups too.

I was able to install the drivers in Win10 but they didn't actually work. I have tried the driver hack that others have been using.
